Our Commitment

Top Tier Chauffeur Services wants every customer to be able to book a ride, whatever device or assistive technology they use. That includes people who navigate with a screen reader, people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, people who enlarge text, and people with a disability that makes a cluttered or poorly labelled page hard to use.

Accessibility is not a one-time project here. Every time we change the site we re-run the checks described below, and anything that regresses gets fixed before it ships.

The Standard We Work To

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in most web accessibility matters, and it is the level we hold new work to.

Current status: partially conformant. Parts of WCAG 2.1 AA have been verified across every page of the site. Parts have not, and we would rather say so than claim a conformance level we have not measured. Both lists are below.

What We Have Verified

These were checked against every page of a full production build, not a sample:

  • Every image carries alt text, so a screen reader can describe it or correctly skip it.
  • Every form field has a label a screen reader can announce, including the booking form and the contact form on pages that show both.
  • Every link and button has an accessible name. No unlabelled icon-only controls.
  • Each page declares its language and has a unique, meaningful title.
  • Each page has one main heading, a main landmark, and a skip target so keyboard users can jump past the navigation.
  • No duplicate element IDs, which is what causes a label to point at the wrong field.
  • Heading order runs in sequence on the great majority of pages.

Known Gaps

These are real Level AA requirements that we have not yet measured on this site. They depend on how a browser paints and behaves at run time, so they cannot be confirmed from the page source alone:

  • Colour contrast. Body and large text against their backgrounds, and the contrast of form borders, icons and focus rings.
  • Visible focus. Whether the keyboard focus outline is clearly visible on every interactive element.
  • Keyboard operation. Full keyboard use with no traps, in particular the booking form, the cookie banner and the quiz.
  • Reflow and zoom. Behaviour at 320 pixels wide and at 200 percent text size.
  • Status messages. Whether form success and error messages are announced to assistive technology.
  • Motion. The animated background and scroll indicator have not been assessed for motion sensitivity.
  • Heading order on a small number of pages. A few short pages jump a heading level because of a shared site component. A fix is queued.

Closing these requires a browser-based audit and manual keyboard testing. It is scheduled, not shelved, and this page will be updated with the results.

Accessible Transportation

Website accessibility and vehicle accessibility are separate things. If you need a wheelchair accessible vehicle, or have any mobility requirement for a trip, call us and tell us what you need. We will tell you plainly what we can and cannot accommodate for your date rather than guess.

Hit a Barrier? Tell Us

If any part of this site blocks you, we want to hear about it, and we will help you book by phone or email in the meantime. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will respond within five business days.
